Help! My Hair is Dry

Natural hair is susceptible to being dry by its nature. However, we engage in certain hair care practices that can further worsen how dry natural hair gets. Let's explore in this post, things we can do to lessen how dry our hair gets

Avoid shampooing your hair everyday

If you're used to shampooing your hair every day, endeavour to wash your hair once a week. Using shampoo every day can strip your hair off its natural oils resulting in dryness. Use a conditioner every day

Using leave in conditioner every day will help provide moisture to your hair and reduce dryness. In choosing the type of leave in conditioner to use, go in for a water-based one. Using it morning and evening would go a long way to help. 

Treat your hair every week

If you have dry hair, treating your hair every week is a must. A deep conditioning treatment helps provide moisture to your hair. Continue doing this every week until you notice a change and then move on to treating your hair once every two weeks.

Avoid dyes and chemicals

Reduce heat styling
