Oils You Should Try On Your Natural Hair

Posted by Main Admin on

Natural oils are great for your hair and play an important role in retaining moisture. Others also help stimulate growth. The type of oil you use on your hair, to a large extent, depends on what your hair responds to. Although you can use a mix of oils on your hair, you don't have to use all the oils listed below.

Avocado Oil

You'll bear witness that avocado has a lot of health benefits. Same can be said for avocado oil when used on the hair. Avocado oil is rich in vitamins A, E, B1, B2 and D as well as amino acids and essential fatty acids that are excellent for your hair and skin. It can be used to treat dandruff, prevent breakage, detangle hair and protect hair from damage. If you like swimming, then apply a thin layer of avocado oil before jumping into the pool.

Peppermint Oil

The cooling sensation of Peppermint Oil makes it ideal for soothing and reducing itchy, dandruff-prone scalp as well as dry skin. Its anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antifungal properties helps promote scalp health. Peppermint oil is heavily concentrated. It is advisable to mix it with a base oil or mix it with your hair products. Please do not use it (in its concentrated form) directly on your hair or skin.

Vitamin E Oil

Within the beauty industry, you cannot deny the benefits of Vitamin E Oil for the the skin. It's time to explore how beneficial it is for the hair. When used on the hair, Vitamin E helps stimulate capillary growth on your scalp thus promoting hair growth. It also helps prevent breakage and split ends as well as promote the elasticity of hair whilst providing shine. Vitamin E oil is very thick so just a little bit of it goes a long way.

Sweet Almond Oil

Almond Oil is an emollient. It makes your hair smoother to touch. When used as part of your hair regimen, it helps make your hair softer over time. Almond oil can also be used to treat flaky scalp. Rub a small amount of oil in your palm and massage it directly unto your scalp to increase blood flow.

Castor Oil

You've definitely head about castor oil by now. How beneficial is it for the hair though? Pure Castor Oil has no added artificial ingredients making it extra light and ideal for all hair types. It has antioxidants which helps support keratin in the hair making it stronger, smoother and less frizzy. Apply a few drops and massage in hair and scalp to promote hair growth and thickening.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil has a lot of benefits especially to natural hair due to how it nourishes and moisturizes the hair. It has Vitamin E, Vitamin K, and iron minerals which improves shine and softness as well as eliminates dandruff. Coconut oil can be used as a daily moisturizer and scalp cleanser. It may be mixed with other oils.

Knowing the particular oil to use for your hair takes a lot of experimentation. You can also mix a  blend of oils for your hair so far as you experience the benefits anticipated. For hair consultation, please contact +233 204 600 464 or @eyanaturals on Facebook and Instagram
